 In 2025, major Islamic holidays include Ramadan, Eid al-Fitr, and Eid al-Adha. The exact dates depend on the sighting of the moon. 
Ramadan 
  • Begins on the evening of Friday, February 28, 2025
  • Ends on the evening of Sunday, March 30, 2025
  • A month-long period of fasting
Eid al-Fitr 
  • Celebrates the end of Ramadan
  • Expected to take place on Sunday, March 30, 2025 or Monday, March 31, 2025
Eid al-Adha 
  • Also known as the Festival of Sacrifice
  • Celebrated on the tenth day of Dhu al-Hijjah, the last month of the Islamic calendar
  • Commemorates Abraham's willingness to sacrifice his son Ishmael
