In this special episode Dark Journalist will trace the activity of the Orphic CIrcle Mystery School creating young clairvoyants and somnambulists to gather astral assets and state secrets. 

He will reveal that the famous story Alice in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll is in fact a chronicle inspired by the Orphic Circle's prized pupil and how the recent project named ALICE rolled out at CERN's Hadron Particle Collider in Geneva, Switzerland is connected with secret extra dimensional research pioneered by the Theosophical Society.

Orphism (more rarely Orphicism; Ancient Greek: Ὀρφικά, romanized: Orphiká) is the name given to a set of religious beliefs and practices[1] originating in the ancient Greek and Hellenistic world,[2] as well as from the Thracians,[3] associated with literature ascribed to the mythical poet Orpheus, who descended into the Greek underworld and returned. Orphics revered Dionysus (who once descended into the Underworld and returned) and Persephone (who annually descended into the Underworld for a season and then returned). Orphism has been described as a reform of the earlier Dionysian religion, involving a re-interpretation or re-reading of the myth of Dionysus and a re-ordering of Hesiod's Theogony, based in part on pre-Socratic philosophy.[4]

The central focus of Orphism is the suffering and death of the god Dionysus at the hands of the Titans, which forms the basis of Orphism's central myth. According to this myth, the infant Dionysus is killed, torn apart, and consumed by the Titans. In retribution, Zeus strikes the Titans with a thunderbolt, turning them to ash. From these ashes, humanity is born. In Orphic belief, this myth describes humanity as having a dual nature: body (Ancient Greek: σῶμα, romanized: sôma), inherited from the Titans, and a divine spark or soul (Ancient Greek: ψυχή, romanized: psukhḗ), inherited from Dionysus.[5] In order to achieve salvation from the Titanic, material existence, one had to be initiated into the Dionysian mysteries and undergo teletē, a ritual purification and reliving of the suffering and death of the god.[6] Orphics believed that they would, after death, spend eternity alongside Orpheus and other heroes. The uninitiated (Ancient Greek: ἀμύητος, romanized: amúētos), they believed, would be reincarnated indefinitely.[7]

In order to maintain their purity following initiation and ritual, Orphics attempted to live an ascetic life free of spiritual contamination, most notably by adhering to a strict vegetarian diet that also excluded certain kinds of beans.

The Orphic Circle is a scholarly society that knows a great deal about the mysteries of the Underworld. To gain such knowledge, however, sacrifices are required – often quite literally. Many members sacrifice the living and the dead to obtain information about mortality... and to sate their own curiosity. To them, the highest goal of existence is to rediscover the sacred Mysteries of the Underworld that Orpheus took from Hades. A chief Orphic god is Eubouleus (also known to many as Dionysus). Destined by his father Zeus and his mother Persephone to be Lord Over All, he is now lord of the Underworld, god of Nether World, and god of wine, pleasure, and immortality.

  Because some members of the Orphic Circle also hold memberships in other highly secret societies, every Orphic Circle member takes a mystically binding oath of secrecy.

  Despite their common bonds, Orphics do not automatically know everything about the nature of their colleagues. Many an Orphic scholar has remained blissfully unaware that the ongoing acolyte he called his protÈgÈ was a necromantic vampire or a mage in disguise. In fact, most mortals within the Circle remain unaware that there are vampires and mages in their midst; likewise, many mages are unaware of vampires, and vise versa. Such secrets are even better kept than that of Circle membership. When they aren’t, members die.

Charles Thomas Pearce (1815-83)

One of these initiates was my maternal 3+great grandfather, Charles Thomas Pearce (1815-83).  He was a fascinating character, an atheist Philosophical Instrument maker who belonged to the College of Surgeons, the Eclectic Masonic Lodge and the notorious Cannibal Club.  He was also a pioneering homœopath, who spent his life campaigning against compulsory vaccination, animal cruelty and the mistreatment of the mentally ill.
