The following “Members” section in our Illuminati Wiki is a completely revised and supplemented – and still to be supplemented – version of the book by Hermann Schüttler (The Members of the Illuminati Order, 1776-1787/93, Munich 1991), the content of which is nevertheless the forms the basis of this work.
Data on the biography of the individual people and their membership, particularly in Freemasonry and related societies and of course within the framework of the Illuminati Order, were supplemented. The list was expanded by the information that resulted from a review of the tenth volume of the “Swedish Box” - reverse, CVs and tables as well as lists of members. In addition, there are the results of research on the Illuminati Order, carried out by Hermann Schüttler and Reinhard Markner as part of the project “Utopia and Anthropology in the Arcane Network. Structures and strategies of the Illuminati secret society in the context of the late Enlightenment were developed. This research project, funded by the German Research Foundation, ran from September 1998 to December 2006 under the direction of Prof. Dr. Monika Neugebauer-Wölk at the Interdisciplinary Center for Research on the European Enlightenment at the Martin Luther University in Halle.
The entries on the individual members in this wiki begin with the order name, followed by (if available) entries on Wikipedia. Then there is information about your career, starting with (if determined) your denomination, education, professional activity, honors (e.g. elevation to nobility), memberships of a public nature (e.g. scientific associations, academies, etc.)
This is followed by an entry on membership (if determined) in Freemasonry or Masonic-like associations. Finally, you can find data on membership in the Illuminati Order such as admission, promotion, religious positions.
At the end of the entry there are sources for biography (“Bio”), Freemasonry (“FM”) and Illuminati membership (“Ill”) with links or literature references that break down this information. Further explanations of the member directory can be found here.
