State Department officials call for U.S. military action against Assad regime

More than 50 State Department officials signed an internal memo protesting U.S. policy in Syria, calling for targeted U.S. military strikes against the regime of Bashar al-Assad and urging regime change as the only way to defeat ISIS.
The cable says that U.S. policy in the Middle East has been "overwhelmed" by the continuing violence in Syria. It calls for a "judicious use of stand-off and air weapons, which would undergird and drive a more focused and hard-nosed U.S.-led diplomatic process."
CNN reviewed a draft of the memo, which has since been classified. The Wall Street Journal first reported on the memo's existence.

The Ghouta chemical attack occurred in Ghouta, Syria, during the Syrian Civil War in the early hours of 21 August 2013. Two opposition-controlled areas in the suburbs around Damascus, Syria were struck by rockets containing the chemical agent sarin. Estimates of the death toll range from at least 281 people to 1,729. The attack was the deadliest use of chemical weapons since the Iran–Iraq War.

First off the "Syrian Rebels" were never rebels they were a mix of mercenaries and Libyan Al Qaeda fighters Hillary and Obama moved over from Libya to Syria!
Second the "Syrian Rebels", now known as ISIS, admitted that they were responsible for the gas attack. They told a reporter that it was an accident, that a gas missile accidentally fired. When the reported asked them were they got the sarin projectiles they answered "Prince Bandar" of Saudi Arabia!
For the record I NEVER believed that the Syrian Rebels "accidentally" fired the Sarin missiles. They were testing gas on rabbits before Ghouta happened!

Syrian Rebels admit to being behind Chemical Weapons Attack

Members of the Syrian rebel movement have admitted that they were behind the Aug. 21 chemical weapons attack near Damascus, Minnesota’s Mint Press News reported on Thursday.
According to the report, the chemicals were provided by Saudi Prince Bandar bin Sultan, who “has been at the very heart of the push for war by the U.S. against Assad.”
The group Doctors Without Borders went to the town of Ghouta, where more than 350 people were killed as a result of the chemical attack. After interviewing “numerous…doctors, Ghouta residents, rebel fighters and their families,” the group obtained testimony that the attack was a result of mismanagement and ignorance on the part of the rebels, who didn’t realize that they had chemical weapons.
“My son came to me two weeks ago asking what I thought the weapons were that he had been asked to carry,” the Mint Press quotes Abu Abdel-Moneim, the father of a rebel who was killed in a tunnel during the chemical attack.
Some of the weapons had a “tube-like structure,” and others resembled a “huge glass bottle,” Abdel-Moneim said.
“They didn’t tell us what these arms were or how to use them,” said a female rebel, referred to as “K” to protect her identity. “We didn’t know they were chemical weapons. We never imagined they were chemical weapons.
“When Saudi Prince Bandar gives such weapons to people, he must give them to those who know how to handle and use them,” K continued.
