How I Harvest & Eat My Purple Malabar Spinach Berries

Probably why John couldn't find the info is because the plant has different names in other parts of the world. Even in the west it is known by several different names but try searching for basella alba (the green-stemmed one) or basella rubra (the red-stemmed variety).

Good info on the edible nature and juicing technique.  Haven't seen anyone on YT talk about the edible nature of the berries.  It was intense to see how lil bit o purple jst took over the entire glass of green.  I tend to experiment alot myself with foods.  If u haven't gotten any side effects from eating the berries or the seed extract after consuming alot of it, your probably ok and likely beneficial.  I usually eat a tiny quantity of something to test and see if i feel anything from it.  But of course, only with things I believe r edible to begin with.  A perfect example of this is the pepper plant leaves.  I've seen and heard numerous ppl say that the leaves r not edible.  However, I found this to not b true.  I luv the taste and eat the bell pepper leaves and even eatin cayenne pepper leaves cooked with no side effects.

BTW, to fine tune the technique of juicing it, a better healthier way to juice to consider.  Try using a natural fine cloth mesh.  U should b able to get much more juice out of instead of soaking so much of the juice into paper towel, and in addition, avoid drinking the bleach from the white paper towel.  The paper towel will probably impart bitter sharp taste to the juice.  A cheap alternative to the natural mesh, if u can't find one, is maybe a fine mesh cheese cloth, double or triple layered.  Still much healthier and better then using paper towel.

@ED Music Ya, if i can eat bell and cayenne leaves, i'm pretty certain all the pepper leaves r edible when cooked.  My fav is the bell pepper leaf, cuz when u jst cook it for like a min or 2, they get very tasty and tender almost like eating raw spinach, and not to mention the leaves r big, so it's hearty.  Ya tai and filip prolly use some o the hot pepper leaves in some o their dishes.
